Dictionary term
Workflow (GHL)
Also called GHL workflow · HighLevel workflow
A GoHighLevel workflow is the platform's automation builder. One or more triggers start it, and it then runs a sequence of actions such as messages, tags, If/Else branches, waits, goal events and webhooks. Workflows replaced the legacy Campaigns and Triggers.
In plain English
A workflow in HighLevel is an automation you build once that follows up with contacts for you, such as texting, emailing, tagging or booking, whenever something happens.
Analogy
Like a playbook your CRM runs for every contact who walks through a particular door.
Why it matters
Almost every GHL automation you deliver lives in a workflow, so structuring triggers, filters and branches well decides whether a client's follow-up is reliable and easy to troubleshoot.
In practice
A 'New Lead' workflow triggers on form submission, sends an instant SMS, waits one day, and uses If/Else to send booked contacts a reminder and everyone else a nudge.
