Dictionary term
Campaigns (GHL, legacy)
Also called GHL campaigns · Campaigns and Triggers
Campaigns were GoHighLevel's original automation sequences, paired with separate Triggers. Both are deprecated and replaced by Workflows, which combine triggers and actions in one builder. They appear only in sub-accounts created from snapshots of older accounts that still contain them.
Deprecated
HighLevel deprecated Campaigns and Triggers in favour of Workflows. They are visible only in sub-accounts built from snapshots of older accounts that still contain them. Use Workflow (GHL) instead.
In plain English
Campaigns were HighLevel's old way of sending automated follow-up sequences. They've been retired, and Workflows do the same job and more.
Analogy
Like an old flip phone that still works if you have one, but nobody is issued one anymore.
Why it matters
Old tutorials, snapshots and client accounts may still reference Campaigns. Rebuild them as Workflows, which add If/Else logic, an execution log and easier testing.
In practice
You audit a client's older sub-account, find a five-step nurture Campaign, import it into a Workflow, and add the trigger there.
