Dictionary term
Snapshot (GHL)
Also called snapshot · account snapshot
A GoHighLevel snapshot is a reusable template that captures selected configuration assets from one sub-account, such as workflows, funnels, calendars, forms, custom fields and dashboards, so they can be loaded into new or existing sub-accounts. Live data such as contacts and appointments does not transfer.
In plain English
A snapshot is a copy of a fully set-up client account (automations, pages, calendars) that you can stamp into a new client's account in a few clicks.
Analogy
Like a franchise starter kit: every new location opens with the same proven setup.
Why it matters
Snapshots are how agencies standardise, productise and resell builds. You build once, load the same proven system for every client in a niche, then adjust custom values per client.
In practice
An agency builds a dental lead-gen system in a template sub-account, saves it as a snapshot, and loads it into each new dental client's sub-account during onboarding.
