Pipelines & Opportunities (GHL)
Also called pipeline · opportunity · opportunities
In GoHighLevel, a pipeline is a sequence of stages that models a sales or service process, and an opportunity is a record of one potential deal moving through those stages. Each opportunity is linked to a contact, carries a deal value, and has a status of Open, Won, Lost or Abandoned.
In plain English
A pipeline is the board that shows the steps of your sales process. Each opportunity is one deal card that moves across it until it's won or lost.
Analogy
Like a kanban board where every card is a potential sale moving left to right.
Why it matters
Pipelines give a business visibility into where deals stall, and workflows can create opportunities and move them between stages automatically, which feeds reporting.
In practice
A 'New Leads' pipeline has stages Lead Capture, Qualified, Appointment Scheduled and Proposal Sent. A workflow moves the opportunity to Appointment Scheduled when the contact books.
