Dictionary term
Credit (Make)
Also called Make credits
In Make, a credit is the billing unit, which replaced operations on 27 August 2025. Non-AI modules and third-party AI apps use 1 credit per operation. Make's built-in AI features can use more, because they are billed on tokens and other usage factors.
In plain English
Credits are what you buy and spend in Make. Most steps cost one credit each time they run, and Make's own AI features can cost more.
Analogy
Like arcade tokens: most games take one token per play, and a few premium games take more.
Why it matters
Credit usage decides your Make bill and when scenarios stop for lack of balance, so you estimate it from module runs and watch AI-heavy steps closely.
In practice
A scenario that watches a sheet and sends 20 emails uses about 21 credits per run: 1 for the trigger check and 20 for the email module.
